The 1998 translation of the song gained instant popularity, being the official song of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. This version of the song was also used in the AQA GCSE music exam on the 18th May, 2007.

Description The making of the single's video was accompanied by several minor disputes. Carey had wanted to wear a bikini for it, but producers and executives vetoed her idea.[citation needed] Once the video was complete, producers requested that a new video be filmed, as they felt the original was not satisfactory and knew that a single's music video can be crucial to record sales. The resulting video, directed by Bojan Bazelli, features Carey on a darkly-lit stage against a background of moving clouds and a staircase. Carey has declared her hatred for the video, as she did not like its tone or her hairstyle.[citation needed] In one shot, she can even be seen snapping off her own hair accidentally. Sources indicate that the total cost of both the videos came to around US$450,000 (very large for a debut single), but label executive Don Ienner stated: "If we're gonna take the time and effort that we did with Mariah, on every level, then we're going to image her the right way. If it costs a few extra dollars to make a splash in terms of the right imaging, you go ahead and do it".[6]
Because "Vision of Love" was Carey's debut single and she had not quite solidified her position as a music star, no remixes of the single were commissioned. However, two live versions of the track have been released as exclusive live performance bonus tracks on non-U.S. releases of the single. The first live version was culled from the EP MTV Unplugged (1992). The live version released on the single is not the same as the version found on the MTV Unplugged album; it has been edited and the intro and outro were faded to reflect this. This version of the song is most often found on the UK single of "I'll Be There" (1992). The other live performance is taken from Carey's DVD Fantasy: Mariah Carey at Madison Square Garden (1996), and can be found on most European singles of "Open Arms" (1996).
Lyrics
Treated me kind Sweet destiny Carried me through desperation To the one that was waiting for me It took so long Still I believed Somehow the one that I needed Would find me eventually
I had a vision of love And it was all that you’ve given to me
Prayed through the nights Felt so alone Suffered from alienation Carried the weight on my own Had to be strong
So I believed And now I know I’ve succeeded In finding the place I conceived
I had a vision of love And it was all that you’ve given to me I had a vision of love And it was all that you’ve given me
I’ve realized a dream And I visualized The love that came to be Feel so alive I’m so thankful that I’ve received The answer that heaven has sent down to me
You treated me kind Sweet destiny And I’ll be eternally grateful Holding you so close to me Prayed through the nights So faithfully Knowing the one that I needed Would find me eventually
I had a vision of love And it was all that you’ve given to me I had a vision of love And it was all that you turned out to be
Description The music video for "Rumors" shows Lohan in a club where she wants to spend the night with friends, but is followed by people who want to take pictures of her. It begins with paparazzi following her in a parking garage. Lohan gets into a car with a chauffeur and they drive away. The car comes to a stop and she then steps into an elevator and sings the first verse of the song while she is filmed by a CCTV camera in the elevator. The next sequence shows her running through a hallway, dressed up, before getting into the club. There, she dances in the crowd, where she takes a picture of one of the paparazzi herself to get back at him. In the next sequence she's walking slowly through the club where she finds the man who seems to be her boyfriend. She takes a seat next to her lover and they begin kissing and touching each other, all the while being constantly filmed by cameras in the club. While Lohan sings the second chorus she's trapped in a cage in the middle of the club and the whole crowd is watching her. After this Lohan is shown dancing in the club with her friends. At the end of the music video Lohan and her friends enter the top of a high-rise and dance a routine while helicopters are circling around them. Finally Lohan gets into a helicopter and escapes. In the end she throws her camera away with all the pictures taken of her.
The music video was directed by Jake Nava who also directed the music video for "My Prerogative" by Britney Spears. It includes an edited version of the song which is about 12 seconds longer than the album version because it features a dance break which was necessary for the video. This edited version was never officially released.
Lyrics Rumours
Saturday, steppin' into the club Somebody wanna tell DJ to turn it up I feel the energy all around And my body can't stop moving to the sound
But I can tell that you're watching me And you're probably gonna write what you didn't see Well I just need a little space to breathe Can you please respect my privacy
BRIDGE: Why can't you just let me Do the things I wanna do I just wanna be me I don't understand why Would you wanna bring me down I'm only having fun I'm going live my life (not the way you want me to)
CHORUS: I'm tired of rumors starting I'm sick of being followed I'm tired of people lying Saying what they want about me Why can't they back up off me Why can't they let me live I'm gonna do it my way Take this for just what it is
Here we are back up in the club People taking pictures Don't you think they get enough I just wanna be all over the floor And throw my hands up in the air to the beat like (What?)
I've gotta say respectfully I would like it if you take the cameras off of me 'Cause I just want a little room to breathe Can you please respect my privacy
BRIDGE: Why can't you just let me Do the things I wanna do I just wanna be me I don't understand why Would you wanna bring me down I'm only having fun I wanna live my life Like I wanna do
CHORUS: I'm tired of rumors starting I'm sick of being followed I'm tired of people lying Saying what they want about me Why can't they back up off me Why can't they let me live I'm gonna do it my way Take this for just what it is
I just need to free my mind (my mind) Just wanna dance and have a good time (good time)
I'm tired of rumors (rumors) Followed (followed, followed, followed, followed, followed)
What they (follow) me Why can't they (they they they-they-they) let me live
Take this for just what it is
CHORUS: I'm tired of rumors starting I'm sick of being followed I'm tired of people lying Saying what they want about me Why can't they back up off me Why can't they let me live I'm gonna do it my way Take this for just what it is
I'm tired of rumors starting I'm sick of being followed I'm tired of people lying Saying what they want about me Why can't they back up off me why can't they let me live I'm gonna do it my way Take this for just what it is
Description "I Should Be So Lucky" featured a music video that was directed by Chris Langman and Andrew McVintty and was filmed in late 1987 at Channel 7 Studios in Melbourne, Australia. The video features Minogue walking through her home, explaining why she should be so lucky in love. The scenes of Minogue in her home are intercut with scenes of her dancing in front of a coulourful chalkboard background. The video for "I Should Be So Lucky" presented a cute, wholesome, young "girl-next-door" image of Minogue to the public, with scenes of Minogue giggling and making funny faces to the camera. The video was subject to a parody on the British satire programme Spitting Image, featuring a Kylie puppet blithely dancing around (destroying, even) the set singing 'I've been very lucky', complete with Stock, Aitken and Waterman puppets appearing to give their thoughts.
The music video has been included on multiple VHS and DVD collections released by Minogue with its most recent inclusion on the companion DVD to her second greatest hits album Ultimate Kylie (2004).

Young love, ring around the roses My corrections will be big
Young love, searchin' for a heart so true Young love, a pocket full of posies Young love, all adds up to me and you

I've found a resaon for me To change who I used to be A reason to start over new and the reason is You [x4]

Lyrics
What an amazing time What a family How did the years go by Now it's only me
Like a cat in heat, stuck in a moving car A scary conversation, shut my eyes, can't find the brake What if they say that you're a climber Naturally, I'm worried if I do it alone Who really cares, cause it's your life You never know, it could be great Take a chance cause you might grow Oh, ah, oh
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
Tick-tock, tick-tock Tick-tock, tick-tock Take a chance you stupid hoe
Like an echo pedal, you're repeating yourself You know it all by heart Why are you standing in one place Born to blossom, bloom to perish Your moment will run out Cause of your sex chromosome I know it's so messed up, how our society all thinks (for sure) Life is short, you're capable Oh, ah, oh
(Uh-huh, hu-huh) Look at your watch now You're still a super hot female You got your million-dollar contract And they're all waiting for your hot track
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
I can't wait to go back and do Japan Get me lots of brand new fans Osaka, Tokyo You Harajuku girls Damn, you've got some wicked style
Go
Look at your watch now You're still a super hot female You got your million dollar contract And they're all waiting for your hot track
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting What you waiting for
What you waiting for What you waiting for

Description "My Name Is" is a song by Eminem, released in 1999. It was the second single from his major label debut album, The Slim Shady LP, also released that year. This song was the first to propel him (and his debut album) up the mainstream singles charts, and helped establish his rapping styles, which lead to further chart-topping success the following year. Due to the single's widespread exposure, it became the first rap song to grace the top spot on Total Request Live, which was maintained until it was retired after 30 number one days in a row.

Description "Stupify" is Disturbed's first single off their album, The Sickness. When lead singer David Draiman was young, he dated a Latina girl, and her parents never approved of him being of Jewish descent. The song is about racism.[citation needed]
Not many fans know the beginning lines of the song. In the opening David says "Yeah, bringing you another disturbing creation from the mind of one sick animal who can't tell the difference, and gets stupified."[citation needed]
David as well pronounces the word "Tefached" in the song. Tefached means "be afraid" in Hebrew.
The video for the song features the band performing the song in a rusted cellar-like room, interspersed with footage of a young boy sitting in the same room. As the song progresses, the boy is revealed to be haunted by demonlike creatures.
The video makes extensive use of a visual effect commonly called "fast-head", first seen in Jacob's Ladder.

All the people in the left wing And all the people in the right wing And all the people in the underground I find myself stupified, coming back again All the people in the high rise And all the people in the projects And all la hente in the bario I find myself stupified, coming back again
Why, do you like playing around with My, narrow scope of reality I, can feel it all start slipping I think I'm breaking down
Why, do you like playing around with My, narrow scope of reality I, can feel it all start slipping away See but I don't get it Don't you think maybe we could put it on credit Don't you think it can take control when I don't let it I get stupified It's all the same you say Live with it

Lyrics I was five and he was six We rode on horses made of sticks He wore black and I wore white He would always win the fight
Bang bang you shoot me down Bang bang I hit the ground Bang bang that awful sound Bang bang my baby shot me down
Seasons came and changed the time And I grew up I called you mine He would always laugh and say Remember when we used to play
Bang bang I shot you down Bang bang you hit the ground Bang bang that awful sound Bang bang i used to shoot you down
Music played and people sang Just for me the church bells rang
HEY x4
Now he's gone I don't know why Until this day sometime I cry He didn't even say good bye He didn't take the time to lie
Bang bang he shot me down Bang bang I hit the ground Bang bang that awful sound Bang bang my baby shot me down
Description Runaway is a 1983 Bon Jovi song. However, the song was written and recorded by Jon Bon Jovi (then still under his given name, John Bongiovi) before the formation of the band Bon Jovi.
In 1983, local radio station WAPP 103.5FM "The Apple" had a contest, held in conjunction with St. John's University, to search for the best unsigned band. Jon Bon Jovi used studio musicians to play on the track Runaway (which was written in 1980). The guitarist on the track is Dave Sabo (the "Snake"), who was a childhood friend of Jon and who went on to found the popular band Skid Row. (Bon Jovi took Skid Row on tour with them as their opening act). After it won the contest, it became an instant hit in the summer of 1983. The studio musicians who helped Jon Bon Jovi to record "Runaway" were known as "The All Star Review" and they were Tim Pierce (guitar), Roy Bittan (keyboards), Frankie LaRocka (drums) and Hugh McDonald (bass). Lyrics On the street where you live girls talk about their social lives They're made of lipstick, plastic and paint, a touch of sable in their eyes All your life all you've asked when's your Daddy gonna talk to you You were living in another world tryin' to get your message through.
No one heard a single word you said. They should have seen it in your eyes What was going around your heart.
[Chorus:] Ooh, she's a little runaway. Daddy's girl learned fast All those things he couldn't say. Ooh, she's a little runaway.
A different line every night guaranteed to blow your mind See you out on the streets, call me for a wild time So you sit home alone 'cause there's nothing left that you can do There's only pictures hung in the shadows left there to look at you
You know she likes the lights at nights on the neon Broadway signs She don't really mind, it's only love she hoped to find
[Repeat chorus]
No one heard a single word she said They should have seen it in your eyes What was going around your heart
Ooh, she's a little runaway Daddy's girl learned fast All those things he couldn't say
Ooh, she's a little runaway Daddy's girl learned fast Now she walks the night away
Ooh, she's a little runaway Daddy's girl learned fast All those things he couldn't say
Ooh, she's a little runaway Daddy's girl learned fast Now she walks the night away
Description "You Oughta Know" is a Grammy-winning song written by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, and produced by Ballard for Morissette's third album Jagged Little Pill (1995). The song, the lyrics of which describe Morissette's fouled relationship with an unnamed lover, introduced her harsh, angst-ridden lyrics to the public.
Lyrics I want you to know, that I am happy for you I wish nothing but the best for you both An older version of me Is she perverted like me? Would she go down on you in a theater? Does she speak eloquently And would she have your baby? I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother
1-'Cause the love that you gave that we made Wasn't able to make it enough for you To be open wide, No And every time you speak her name Does she know how you told me You'd hold me until you died Till you died, but you're still alive
2-And I'm here, to remind you Of the mess you left when you went away It's not fair, to deny me Of the cross I bear that you gave to me You, you, you oughta know
You seem very well, things look peaceful I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know Did you forget about me, Mr. Duplicity? I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner It was a slap in the face How quickly I was replaced And are you thinking of me when you f... her? (rpt 1,2)
Ohh... aah... ahh... ahh...
'Cause the joke that you laid in the bed That was me and I'm not gonna fade As soon as you close your eyes, and you know it And every time I scratch my nails Down someone else's back I hope you feel it Well, can you feel it? (rpt 2, 2...)
Description How To Rob is the first single released by East Coast rapper 50 Cent. It was a noteworthy release for 50 Cent due to its blatant statements about robbing/mugging numerous rappers & musicians, including Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Brian McKnight, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Slick Rick, Big Pun, Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Will Smith, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Jermaine Dupri, DMX, DJ Clue, TQ, RZA, Canibus, Juvenile, BLACKStreet, amongst others. The comments made by 50 Cent towards the Wu-Tang Clan were responded to on the Ghostface Killah album "Supreme Clientele" on a track called "Ghost Deini" and even more directly on a skit called "Clyde Smith" which included one of the Wu Tang Clan members talking about how they intended to harm the rapper. It is unsure exactly what member of the clan said this due to the tracks vocal distorter.
It was this single that created a lot of buzz for his "Power of the Dollar" album that was eventually shelved by Columbia Records.
This is the song that led Eminem to discover 50 Cent.

Description "If I Let You Go" is the second single of Irish boy band Westlife. It reached #1 in the UK singles chart.
Lyrics Day after day Time pass away And I just can´t get you off my mind Nobody knows ... I hide it inside I keep on searching but I can´t find The courage to show ... To letting you know ... I´ve never felt so much love before And once again I´m thinking about Taking the easy way out ...
CHORUS: But if I let you go I will never know What my life would be Holding you close to me Will I ever see You smiling back at me How will I know? If I let you go ...
Night after night I hear myself sayin´ Why can´t this feeling just fade away? There´s no one like you ... You speak to my heart... It´s such a shame we´re worlds apart ... I´m too shuy to ask ... I´m too proud to lose But sooner or later I gotta choose And once again I´m thinking aboutTaking the easy way out ...
CHORUS
Once again I´m thinking about .... Taking the easy way out ....
